Chinese Prince of saved Lives

Breaking plates is a specail Hungarian habit on weddings in the midnight, when the newly fresh husband breaks one or more plates on the floor with his legs. Through this action is symbolized the fact that he has lost his former life and a totally new will begin. This little thing occured into my mind when I saw this artwork which uses broken plates for its design.

The artist of these stunning porcelain dress is Li Xiaofeng (Beijing, China) who came up with this genius artistic idea. It is even more special If we look that he used folk elements and inspiration directly from his own nation’s culture, China. He creates clothing from porcelain fragments from the Ming, Qing and Song dynasties and even more amazing are that they are wearable.

This recycled bottle christmas tree is made from canadian mineral glass water bottles assembled together. Antony Gormley's installation is Moscow

Antony Gormley's installation "Domain Field" was seen in the Garage Centre in Moscow, July 16, 2009. An installation of 287 sculptures made from the body moulds of 200 volunteers was shown to the public, in the gallery belonging to Dasha Zhukova, founder of the Garage Centre for Contemporary Culture and girlfriend of Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich. The sculptures were made up of stainless steel bars of various lengths.

Leandro Erlich: Swimming Pool on View, New York

Contemporary Art Center presented (April 13, 2009) Leandro Erlich: Swimming Pool, an extraordinary and visually confounding installation by the Argentine artist.

Leandro Erlich is known for installations that seem to defy the basic laws of physics and befuddle the viewer, who is introduced into jarring environments that momentarily threaten a sense of balance or space. For this exhibition, Erlich presents one of his most well-known and critically acclaimed pieces, Swimming Pool.

Speaking about the project, Erlich says:
“When I first visited P.S.1, I remember thinking how perfect the Duplex space would be for the installation of Swimming Pool. This space divided the experience of seeing the work perfectly, and in the correct order. Almost ten years since its creation, Swimming Pool is finally in the exhibition space for which I have always felt is so perfectly suited.”

Erlich has constructed a full-size pool, complete with all its trappings, including a deck and a ladder. When approached from the first floor, visitors are confronted with a surreal scene: people, fully clothed, can be seen standing, walking, and breathing beneath the surface of the water. It is only when visitors enter the Duplex gallery from the basement that they recognize that the pool is empty, its construction a visual trick fashioned by the artist. A large, continuous piece of acrylic spans the pool and suspends water above it, creating the illusion of a standard swimming pool that is both disorienting and humorous.

The Arnold GROSS copper engraving exhibition

Arnold Gross is a Hungarian contemporary graphic painter, twofold Munkácsy Prize holder and a Kossuth Prize holder. On the occasion of celebrating the artist's 80 birthday, her wonderful pictures were shown at the Hungarian Museum of Natural Science. Of course I have visited the exhibition on weekend as he is on of my favourite painters, after my Grandma and Gustav Klimt.

It was possible to take some photos with my nice cameleon mirror looked mobile phone &:D, so I brought you some nice pieces to your pleasure and delight. Please take into account that these pictures' world is so miniature and graphicaly sewed, but I tried to do my best with the camera's macro funtcion and enhance some detailes of a picture. As you will see, there are a lot of little curious pictures on one picture. Enjoy them! &:)

Arnold Gross became Artist of Merit in 1987. His unique technical knowledge, fine sketching, collected compositions, symbols of his work and the cleanness of their forms and content are incomparable. This magician graphic artist is really teaching you something; yes, the dreams have sense where a dog-cat mix can sit quite peacefull on the top of the pendulum clock. They do not have to be afraid of the wrath of the traditionalist old man, who actually with his hooked stick - would prod everyone who has been dreamed up by Arnold Gross for his bluish-green and sepia-lilac grass. Arnold, the painters love will save these kind and full of joy creatures for themselves and for us. He exhibited not only in Hungary, but also in Rome, Tokyo, London, Colon, Los Angeles, Athens and Vienna.

Kimsooja's crystal effects

Kimsooja is a korean visual artist. I found on the net one of his wonderful work called 'To Breathe - A mirror woman' . It was a site-specific installation at the Crystal Palace, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina, Madrid 2006.
